Manufacturing for Alpro occurs across several dedicated plant-based facilities in Europe, including major sites in Wevelgem (Belgium), Issenheim (France), and Kettering (United Kingdom). Regarding ownership, Alpro has transitioned through several corporate hands. Originally established as a subsidiary of the Vandemoortele Group, it was later acquired by WhiteWave Foods. In 2017, the global food giant Danone completed the acquisition of WhiteWave, bringing Alpro under its umbrella. Today, Alpro remains a flagship brand in Danone's plant-based portfolio, managed from Danone's headquarters in France.
