Flora ProActiv vegetable fat spread

Flora ProActiv is a well-known brand of vegetable fat spread specifically formulated with added plant sterols to help lower cholesterol. The brand was originally developed by the Anglo-Dutch multinational Unilever, a historic leader in the margarine and spreads industry.

In 2018, Unilever sold its global spreads business to KKR, a private equity firm, which subsequently formed Upfield. Today, Upfield is the world's leading producer of plant-based spreads and butters, managing Flora ProActiv alongside other household names like Becel and I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. Manufacturing occurs across several international facilities to supply various markets, with distribution in the UK and Ireland handled by local Upfield subsidiaries.
