Condis dark chocolate is a private labeled product by Condis Supermercats, a major Spanish supermarket chain. Originally founded in 1961 by the Condal family in Barcelona, the brand has become a staple in Catalonia and neighboring regions. The product features 85% cocoa and is marketed in Catalan and Spanish languages.
The manufacturing of Condis house-brand chocolates is primarily conducted in Spain through partnerships with established local confectionery producers. Ownership of the parent company, Condis Supermercats, transitioned in 2021 when the Condal family sold a majority stake to the investment firm Portobello Capital, based in Madrid. This acquisition aimed to strengthen the company’s logistics and retail presence across the Iberian Peninsula.
