Remia is an iconic Dutch brand founded in 1925 by Arie de Rooij in Amersfoort, originally starting as a margarine mixing plant. The brand achieved massive recognition in the 1960s with the invention of 'Fritessaus', a leaner alternative to traditional mayonnaise that became a staple in Dutch snack culture.

Today, Remia remains a major family-owned Dutch company, operating one of the most modern sauce factories in Europe located in Den Dolder. Although the product shown here features 'American' branding and flavors, it is entirely developed and produced in the Netherlands. The company remains independent under the ownership of the De Rooij family through Remia C.V., maintaining its status as a leading manufacturer of sauces, margarines, and fats for both retail and professional food services globally.
