Milka is an iconic chocolate brand originally created in Switzerland in 1901 by Philippe Suchard. Known for its distinct lilac packaging and the Simmental cow mascot, it has become one of Europe's most recognizable confectionery brands. While its roots are Swiss and it was famously produced in Lörrach, Germany, for decades, the brand's production is now distributed across multiple European countries including Germany, Poland, and Austria to serve global markets.
Today, Milka is part of the extensive portfolio of Mondelēz International, an American multinational food and beverage conglomerate. Mondelēz took ownership of the brand following the spin-off from Kraft Foods. The brand continues to emphasize its heritage by using 100% Alpine milk in its chocolate recipes, maintaining its reputation for a smooth and creamy texture.
