HOKA performance footwear

HOKA, originally known as HOKA One One, was founded in Annecy, France, in 2009 by Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc Diard. The brand was established with the goal of designing shoes that allowed for faster downhill running, leading to the creation of their signature oversized maximalist outsoles which offer superior cushioning and stability.

While the brand has its roots in the French Alps, it was acquired early in its growth phase by Deckers Brands in 2013. Under the ownership of Deckers, HOKA transitioned from a niche mountain-running specialty brand to a global mainstream performance leader in the footwear industry.

Manufacturing for HOKA products occurs primarily in Asia, with significant production facilities located in Vietnam, China, and Cambodia. The company maintains its corporate headquarters in Goleta, California, under the umbrella of its parent conglomerate.
