GAZİ Halloumi is a premium grilling cheese produced according to traditional recipes. While the GAZİ brand is synonymous with Mediterranean-style dairy products in Western Europe, particularly in Germany, this specific Halloumi is manufactured in Cyprus to maintain its Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status. This ensures the authentic salty taste and firm texture that allows the cheese to be grilled or pan-fried without melting.

The brand was founded by Eduardo Garcia, a Spanish entrepreneur who saw a gap in the German market for ethnic dairy products. Since its inception in the early 1970s, GAZİ has grown from a local supplier into one of Europe's leading brands for Mediterranean specialties. Today, it remains part of the family-owned Garmo AG, which manages the production and distribution of various Mediterranean food items across Europe, blending cultural culinary traditions with modern industrial scale.
