Miss Vickie's is a premium brand of kettle-cooked potato chips that originated in Canada in 1987. The brand was created by Vickie and Bill Kerr on their family farm in New Lowell, Ontario. Known for its hand-crafted feel and distinctive crunch, the brand quickly rose to popularity across North America due to its unique seasonings and traditional kettle-cooking process.
In 1993, the brand was acquired by Hostess Food Products, which was then a joint venture between Frito-Lay and Kraft Canada. This acquisition integrated Miss Vickie's into the massive PepsiCo distribution network. Today, the brand is a core part of Frito-Lay's premium snack portfolio. While the brand maintains a strong Canadian identity and produces its Canadian supply locally, it is also manufactured in various facilities across the United States to serve the global market. The brand continues to be owned by PepsiCo, a global food and beverage giant headquartered in New York.
