Meßmer is a storied German tea brand with a heritage dating back to 1852 when Eduard Meßmer opened a deli and tea shop in Baden-Baden. The brand became renowned for its high quality and eventually became a purveyor to the royal court. Today, Meßmer is one of the leading tea brands in the German market, known for its extensive range of black, green, fruit, and herbal tea blends.

The brand is currently owned by the Ostfriesische Tee Gesellschaft (OTG), which is a subsidiary of the Laurens Spethmann Holding (LSH). LSH is a long-standing family-owned enterprise based in Seevetal, Germany, near Hamburg. While the raw tea leaves are sourced from tea-growing regions around the world, such as Sri Lanka and India, the final blending, processing, and packaging primarily take place in Germany to ensure consistent quality standards and distribution across Europe.
