Metabo Table Saw

Metabo, formally known as Metabowerke GmbH, is a historic German manufacturer of premium power tools. Founded in 1923 in Nürtingen, Germany, by Albrecht Schnizler, Julius Closs, and Walter Rauch, the brand earned its name from the 'metal drill' (Metallbohrdreher) which was its first breakthrough product.

While the company maintains a significant manufacturing presence and its headquarters in Germany, some of its product lines, including certain table saw components and high-volume models, are manufactured in their facilities in China to remain competitive in the global market. The engineering and design remain strictly overseen by German quality standards.

In 2016, Metabo was acquired by the US-headquartered private equity firm KKR and subsequently became part of Hikoki (formerly Hitachi Koki). Since then, it has operated under the Koki Holdings umbrella, a Japanese multinational power tool manufacturer, ensuring its legacy of innovation continues within a massive global industrial network.
