BKI Coffee is an iconic Danish coffee brand with roots dating back to 1960. Founded in Aarhus by Svend Moth-Lund, the brand originally stood for 'Brasil Kaffe Import', reflecting its focus on sourcing high-quality beans from South America.

Today, BKI is one of the few coffee brands that maintains its own roasting facility in Denmark, specifically in Højbjerg. This localized production allows for strict quality control and a profile tailored to the Scandinavian palate. The brand is now a part of the BKI Foods A/S group, which is a significant player in the Danish beverage market.

While the raw green coffee beans are sourced from multiple producing countries globally, the final product as sold is roasted and packed in Denmark. BKI Foods A/S remains a family-owned Danish enterprise, emphasizing traditional roasting values alongside modern sustainability initiatives in the coffee supply chain.
