Urtekram Hand Cream

Urtekram was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1972 by Lisbeth Damsgaard and Ronnie McGrail. It started as a small herb shop and has since grown into one of Scandinavia’s leading brands for organic food and beauty products. The brand is deeply rooted in Danish organic culture and ecological sustainability.

Today, the brand is owned by the Finnish multi-sector company Midsona AB, which acquired Urtekram in 2015. While the brand is now part of a larger Nordic group, manufacturing for many of its personal care lines continues to take place in Denmark, specifically in Mariager, where their production facilities emphasize sustainable energy and plant-based packaging solutions.
