Oral-B is a globally recognized brand in oral hygiene, originally founded in the United States in 1950 by Robert W. Hutson. The brand became famous for inventing the first soft-bristled toothbrush and was later acquired by Gillette in 1984.
Today, Oral-B is owned by the multinational consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble (P&G), which acquired Gillette in 2005. While the brand has American roots, its electric toothbrush components and attachment heads, such as the Floss Action series, are predominantly manufactured in Germany, where P&G maintains significant engineering and production facilities. The brand operates as a key subsidiary under P&G's global healthcare and personal care portfolio.
