Initially a fully independent venture, Original Coffee entered a strategic ownership phase in 2017 when Kontra Kaffe acquired a majority stake. This partnership allowed for sophisticated roasting techniques at Kontra's facilities in Copenhagen, ensuring that the brand maintains its premium specialty coffee status while expanding its footprint across Denmark.
