Mac Baren tobacco

Mac Baren is a globally recognized Danish brand specializing in high-quality pipe and rolling tobacco. Founded in the mid-19th century, it has built a reputation for traditional craftsmanship and distinctive blends. The manufacturing remains centralized in Svendborg, Denmark, where the company operates one of the most advanced tobacco production facilities in the world.

While the brand was family-owned for several generations under the Harald Halberg name, it was acquired in 2024 by the Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG). This acquisition integrated Mac Baren into a larger corporate portfolio, ensuring its global distribution while maintaining its heritage as a premium tobacco producer. The ultimate ownership now resides with STG, based in Copenhagen.
