Kronan Lössnus

Kronan is a traditional Swedish snus brand launched in 2005. It was developed to offer a classic tobacco-forward flavor profile featuring citrus and herbal notes at a more accessible price point. The product shown is the "Lössnus" (loose) variety, which is the original form of Swedish snus where the user shapes the tobacco themselves.

The brand is manufactured exclusively in Sweden, adhering to the GothiaTek quality standard, which ensures strict limits on undesirable substances. While originally established by Swedish Match, the brand's ownership transitioned as part of a major international acquisition.

Today, Kronan is owned by Philip Morris International (PMI). In late 2022, PMI successfully completed a takeover of Swedish Match, integrating the Swedish tobacco giant into its global portfolio as part of its move toward smoke-free products. Despite the global ownership, the production remains deeply rooted in Swedish tradition and local facilities.
