Anthon Berg is a prestigious Danish chocolatier with a heritage dating back to 1884. Founded by Anthon Berg, a greengrocer who turned his talent toward confectionery, the brand initially gained popularity in Copenhagen for its high-quality marzipan and filled chocolates. The company became so well-regarded for its craftsmanship that it was appointed 'Purveyor to the Royal Danish Court' in 1957, a title it still proudly displays on its packaging today.
Since 1954, Anthon Berg has been part of Toms International (Toms Group), the largest confectionery manufacturer in Denmark. All production was consolidated at the Toms plant in Ballerup, Denmark, in 1962, where the brand's wide array of chocolate tablets, liqueurs, and marzipan products continue to be manufactured. The brand remains a symbol of Danish quality and is distributed worldwide, continuing its long-standing legacy as one of the oldest chocolate producers in the country.
