The product is famous for its combination of a light vanilla-flavoured biscuit and a darker cocoa biscuit joined by a smooth chocolate-nougat cream. Over the decades, the range has expanded to include various flavours like peanut butter, brownie, and strawberry, though the original remains the market leader in Sweden.

Ownership and Global Presence

Today, the Ballerina brand is owned by the Orkla Group, a leading Norwegian industrial conglomerate. Orkla acquired Göteborgs Kex as part of its broad expansion into the Nordic consumer goods market. While the brand maintains its deep Swedish roots and local production heritage, it is now managed under the Orkla Confectionery & Snacks division, which oversees its distribution across the Nordic and Baltic regions.
