White Lily Flour is a heritage brand that has been a staple in Southern American kitchens since its founding in 1883 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Known as 'The Light Baking Flour,' it is traditionally milled from soft red winter wheat, which allows for a lower protein content that produces lighter, fluffier results in biscuits and cakes compared to standard all-purpose flours.
Today, the brand is owned by Hometown Food Company, which was formed through the acquisition of several baking brands from The J.M. Smucker Company. The flour is manufactured in the United States, continuing its tradition of sourcing domestic soft wheat to maintain the specific baking characteristics for which the brand is famous.
