Oreo is a global brand of sandwich biscuits, originally introduced in the United States in 1912. Today, the brand is owned by Mondelez International, a multinational confectionery and snack food conglomerate. While originally founded by the National Biscuit Company (Nabisco), which later became part of Kraft Foods, the snacks division was spun off into Mondelez in 2012.
Oreo products are manufactured in dozens of countries worldwide, including Spain, the USA, Mexico, and various locations across Europe and Asia, to serve local markets. The brand maintains a massive global footprint and is currently the best-selling cookie brand in the world.
