Today, Boots is a key component of Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA), a global health and wellbeing giant. WBA was formed in 2014 after the American company Walgreens completed its acquisition of the Swiss-based Alliance Boots. While many Boots products are still formulated and distributed from the UK, the manufacturing for their personal care lines is often outsourced to various specialized facilities across Europe and Asia to maintain competitive pricing and supply chain efficiency.
