Brand Origin and History

POC was founded in 2005 in Sweden with a mission to protect lives and reduce the consequences of accidents for athletes and anyone inspired to be one. The brand quickly established a reputation for gravity sports safety, specifically in skiing and cycling, by combining high-end technical safety features with minimalist Scandinavian design.

Manufacturing and Quality

While POC is a Swedish brand by design and engineering, its manufacturing process is global. Most POC helmets are manufactured in specialized facilities in China, where advanced polycarbonate and EPS molding technologies are utilized to meet rigorous international safety standards such as CE EN 1077, EN 1078, and CPSC 12.03.

Ownership and Global Presence

Since its inception, POC has seen several changes in ownership to fuel its international growth. After being acquired by Black Diamond Inc. in 2012, it was later sold to Investcorp. Currently, POC is owned by the investment firm Investcorp, which continues to support the brand's commitment to safety, innovation, and performance across the cycling and snow sports markets.
