T2 Tea

T2 is a premium tea brand that originated in Melbourne, Australia. Founded in 1996 by Maryanne Shearer and Jan O'Connor, the brand became famous for its modern approach to tea culture and distinctive retail experiences. While the brand carries the Australian heritage, it sources its tea leaves and ingredients from various regions globally to create its signature blends.

In 2013, the brand was acquired by Unilever, a British multinational consumer goods company. However, in 2021, Unilever sold its tea division, Ekaterra (now known as LIPTON Teas and Infusions), to the private equity firm CVC Capital Partners. As of 2024 and beyond, T2 remains part of the LIPTON Teas and Infusions portfolio, which is headquartered in the Netherlands.
