The Ford Fiesta is a iconic subcompact car originally developed by the Ford Motor Company. Introduced in 1976, it was designed to address the growing demand for fuel-efficient vehicles globally. Over several decades, it became one of Ford's most successful and recognizable nameplates, particularly in Europe and Asia.
Manufacturing of the Fiesta has took place in numerous countries across its lifespan to serve local markets, including Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Thailand, Brazil, and China. In 2023, Ford officially ended production of the Fiesta to shift its focus toward electric vehicles and SUVs.
The Ford brand remains owned by the Ford Motor Company, an American multinational corporation headquartered in Michigan. It continues to be one of the few major automotive manufacturers still controlled by the founding family through a special class of stock.
