The Caboche Plus Sospensione is an iconic lighting fixture designed by Patricia Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto for Foscarini. Originally launched in 2005, the design has become a staple of modern luxury interior lighting, characterized by its sphere-composed shade that multiplies the light while preventing glare.
Foscarini is an Italian decorative lighting company founded in 1981 on the island of Murano. While it started with Murano glass, the brand evolved to use a wide variety of materials. The Caboche series, in particular, uses polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) spheres. The product is manufactured at Foscarini's facilities in Italy, maintaining the high craftsmanship standards associated with the 'Made in Italy' label. The company remains an independent, design-focused entity with its headquarters in Spilimbergo, Italy.
