Philips Eco Conscious Edition Coffee Maker

Philips is a brand with deep historical roots in the Netherlands, founded in 1891 in Eindhoven. While historically a giant in lighting and electronics, the consumer appliances division (including coffee makers) underwent a major transitions in 2021.

Starting from September 2021, the Philips Domestic Appliances business was sold to Hillhouse Capital, a global investment firm, and now operates as an independent company named Versuni. Versuni continues to use the Philips brand name under a long-term licensing agreement. Most of their small kitchen appliances, like this Eco Conscious Edition coffee maker, are manufactured in China to leverage global supply chain efficiencies, although the engineering and design concepts often originate from their European centers.
