Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are one of the most iconic American snacks, originally created by H.B. Reese in 1928. H.B. Reese was a former dairy farmer and shipping manager for Milton S. Hershey, the founder of The Hershey Company. Seeing the success of Milton Hershey, Reese decided to start his own candy business in his basement in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He eventually specialized in the 'penny cup' which combined peanut butter and milk chocolate.

In 1963, the H.B. Reese Candy Company merged with The Hershey Company, and it has remained a flagship brand for the corporation ever since. Today, Reese's is a global phenomenon known for its distinct orange packaging and the perfect marriage of salty peanut butter and sweet chocolate. While the brand is strictly managed by Hershey, it is manufactured primarily in the United States, specifically at dedicated facilities in Pennsylvania, though some international variants may involve local licensed production.
