Sanex is a well-known personal care brand that was originally founded in Spain in 1984 by the company Cruz Verde. The brand gained prominence by focusing on skin health and pH balance, positioning itself as a leader in dermatological hygiene.
Over the years, the brand has changed hands through major corporate acquisitions. In the 1990s, it was acquired by the American company Sara Lee. In 2011, as Sara Lee divested its household and body care categories, Sanex was sold to the American multinational Colgate-Palmolive for approximately €672 million. Today, Colgate-Palmolive manages the brand globally, though many of its products, including roll-on deodorants, are manufactured in European facilities, most notably in Anzio, Italy.
