While the brand has its deep roots in Sweden, its modern production is globalized. Today, most Läkerol products are manufactured in Slovakia at Cloetta's production facilities. The brand is currently owned by Cloetta AB, a leading sweets and confectionery company in the Nordics and parts of Europe, which has maintained the brand's heritage since acquiring the Leaf Group (the previous owner). This transition ensures that while the manufacturing has moved to optimize distribution in Central Europe, the brand remains a Swedish icon under Swedish corporate leadership.
