Eduscho Coffee

Eduscho is a historic German coffee brand with roots dating back to 1924, when it was founded by Eduard Schopf in Bremen. The name itself is a portmanteau of the founder's name. Historically, the brand gained significant popularity in Germany and Austria by partnering with bakeries to sell its coffee, eventually becoming a household name with its famous 'Gala' line and 'Nr. 1' (now Klassisch) blends.

In 1997, Eduscho was acquired by the Hamburg-based coffee giant Tchibo. Following the acquisition, Tchibo integrated Eduscho's operations into its own, though it maintained Eduscho as a distinct brand specifically targeting the retail and supermarket segments. Today, the brand's manufacturing is centralized within Tchibo's extensive European roasting facilities, primarily located in Germany and Poland, ensuring consistent quality across the DACH region and beyond.
