Galbani Galbanino Fior di Fette

Galbanino is a beloved brand of mild cheese originating from Italy. It was first launched in 1937 by the Galbani company, which was founded in 1882 by Egidio Galbani. The product pictured, Fior di Fette, is a sliced version of their classic table cheese, specifically designed for melting in sandwiches and toast.

While the brand is deeply rooted in Italian dairy traditions and production continues to be centered in Italy (primarily at the plant in Casale Cremasco), the corporate ownership has transitioned over time. In 2006, Galbani was acquired by the French dairy giant Groupe Lactalis. Today, Galbani remains the leading brand in the Italian cheese market while being part of Lactalis, the largest dairy products group in the world, headquartered in Laval, France.
