Rossmann, officially known as Dirk Rossmann GmbH, is one of the largest drugstore chains in Europe. Founded in 1972 by Dirk Rossmann in Hanover, Germany, the company revolutionized the retail market as the first self-service drugstore in the country.

While Rossmann carries a wide variety of third-party brands, it is heavily recognized for its extensive range of private labels, such as Isana (skin and hair care), Altapharma (health and vitamins), and Domol (cleaning products). These products are primarily manufactured in Germany and surrounding European countries to maintain high-quality standards and competitive pricing.

Ownership of the brand remains private. As of 2024 and looking toward 2026, the company is primarily owned by the Rossmann family, with the founder's son, Raoul Roßmann, serving as the CEO. A significant minority stake (40%) is held by the Hong Kong-based A.S. Watson Group, which is part of the CK Hutchison Holdings. Despite this international partnership, the brand is managed and headquartered in Burgwedel, Germany.
