The PG Tips Monkey, often simply known as 'Monkey', is a beloved advertising character in the United Kingdom. Originally appearing in commercials alongside comedian Johnny Vegas, the character became so popular that various plush toy versions were manufactured as promotional items and for retail sale. While the brand PG Tips and the character design originated in the United Kingdom, the physical production of these plush toys is primarily outsourced to manufacturing facilities in China.

Ownership of the PG Tips brand underwent a significant change in recent years. Long a staple of the Unilever portfolio, the brand was part of the sale of Unilever's tea business, ekaterra, which was acquired by CVC Capital Partners. As of 2024 and looking toward 2025, the brand is managed under the renamed entity LIPTON Teas and Infusions. This transition marks a shift from a broad consumer goods conglomerate to a specialized global tea company.
