TWINT is Switzerland's leading mobile payment system, founded through the merger of the original TWINT subsidiary of PostFinance and Paymit. The platform provides a seamless digital wallet experience for users to pay at point-of-sale systems, online shops, and between individuals via peer-to-peer transfers.

Technically developed and maintained within Switzerland to meet high banking security standards, the service is a collaborative effort of the Swiss financial industry. It is owned by TWINT AG, which is a consortium composed of Switzerland's largest banks including BCV, Credit Suisse, PostFinance, Raiffeisen, UBS, and Zürcher Kantonalbank, alongside financial infrastructure provider SIX Group. This ownership structure ensures that the platform remains a neutral and utility-focused service for the Swiss market.
