Topo Chico is a premium sparkling mineral water brand with deep roots in Mexican history. Legend has it that the sparkling waters from the Cerro del Topo Chico spring in Monterrey, Mexico, possessed healing properties, famously curing an Aztec princess. Since its formal bottling began in 1895, the brand has grown from a regional favorite in northern Mexico into a global cultural phenomenon known for its high carbonation and distinctive glass bottle packaging.

Today, the brand maintains its authentic heritage while operating as a major player in the global beverage market. While much of the mineral water continues to be sourced and bottled at the original spring in Monterrey, Mexico, expansion under new ownership has led to localized production and distribution efforts for its flavored variants and hard seltzer lines around the world.

In 2017, the brand underwent a significant transition when it was acquired by The Coca-Cola Company. This acquisition allowed Topo Chico to utilize a massive global distribution network, significantly increasing its presence in the United States and other international markets. The brand is now managed under Coca-Cola’s Venturing & Emerging Brands unit, ensuring its unique identity remains intact while benefiting from the resources of one of the world's largest beverage corporations.
