Velvet is a prominent European brand specializing in high-quality personal hygiene tissue products. The brand's origin is closely tied to its long-standing presence in the Polish market, where it has become a household staple known for softness and durability in toilet paper, kitchen towels, and facial tissues.
The history of Velvet began under the stewardship of Kimberly-Clark in Poland. Over time, the manufacturing facilities and the brand itself transitioned through different ownership structures. Today, the brand is primarily manufactured at one of the largest and most modern tissue mills in Central and Eastern Europe, located in Klucze, Poland. This facility has seen significant investment to maintain sustainable production standards and meet the high demand across local and international markets.
As of 2024 and beyond, Velvet is part of the Velvet CARE group. The company's growth has been fueled by private equity investments and strategic expansions. More recently, the Swiss-based Partners Group, a global private markets firm, acquired a majority stake in Velvet CARE, positioning the brand for further international scaling and product innovation.
