Brand History and Origin

Aëgerter (Maison Aëgerter) is an esteemed family-owned wine house located in the heart of Burgundy, France. Established in 1994 by Jean-Luc Aëgerter in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the brand has built a reputation for blending traditional Burgundian viticulture with modern innovation. In 2001, his son Paul Aëgerter joined the business, bringing a fresh perspective that expanded their reach internationally.

Manufacturing and Sourcing

The production is deeply rooted in the Côte d’Or region. The company manages various estates and sources grapes from high-quality vineyards spanning from the Côte de Nuits to the Côte de Beaune. Every bottle is produced and bottled in France, adhering to the strict regulations of the French Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC).

Ownership and Global Presence

As of 2024 and looking toward the future, Maison Aëgerter remains an independent, family-controlled entity led by Paul Aëgerter. Unlike many local brands that are acquired by large international conglomerates, Aëgerter maintains its autonomy to ensure the preservation of its artisanal heritage and distinctive style.
