Hortex is one of Poland's most iconic and historical beverage brands, specializing in frozen foods and juices. The name 'Hortex' is derived from a combination of the Latin word 'hortus' (garden) and the word 'export,' reflecting its foundations in the mid-20th century as a leading Polish exporter of produce.
The product is primarily manufactured in Poland, utilizing various processing plants located throughout the country. While the brand remains deeply rooted in Polish heritage and local production, its ownership has transitioned through several investment groups over the decades to help it compete on an international scale.
Currently, the brand is owned by the Belgian investment company Rhone Group. Despite the foreign ownership, Hortex maintains a dominant market presence in Central and Eastern Europe, continuing to position itself as a traditional Polish household name known for quality fruit processing.
