Arnott's Shapes are a quintessentially Australian savory snack, famous for their 'flavor you can see' and distinct shapes. Originally introduced in Victoria during the 1950s by the Arnott's family-led company, they were first meant to be a savory alternative to sweet biscuits. Over the decades, they have become a staple of Australian lunchboxes and social gatherings, particularly the 'Pizza', 'Barbeque', and 'Savory' varieties.
Today, the manufacturing of Arnott's Shapes remains heavily localized in Australia. The vast majority of production occurs at the company's major bakeries in Huntingwood, New South Wales, and Virginia, Queensland. The brand prides itself on using ingredients sourced primarily within Australia, such as local wheat flour, to maintain its status as an iconic national brand.
While Arnott's began as a family-owned Australian business in 1865, it has undergone several high-profile ownership changes over the last thirty years. After being acquired by the American food giant Campbell Soup Company in 1997, the brand was later sold to KKR & Co. Inc., a global investment firm. Under KKR's stewardship, Arnott's continues to operate as The Arnott’s Group, managing its portfolio from its headquarters in North Sydney.
