Bebe is a well-established skincare brand with a history spanning over 50 years, primarily recognized in the German-speaking and European markets. The brand was originally inspired in the early 1960s by personal care routines for toddlers and children, eventually evolving into a leading name for mild, effective skincare.

Starting as a juvenile skincare line under the 'Bebe Zartpflege' name, it expanded in the late 1980s to address the needs of young adults through its 'Young Care' range. This transition successfully positioned Bebe as a household staple for uncomplicated, gentle skin health products ranging from face creams to lip balms and cleansing wipes.

Throughout most of its history, Bebe was a marquee brand within the Johnson & Johnson portfolio. Following the corporate spin-off of Johnson & Johnson’s consumer health division in 2023, the brand is now owned and operated by Kenvue. Manufacturing remains largely concentrated in Germany and France, ensuring strict adherence to European dermatological standards.
