Suunto multisport watches

Suunto is a globally recognized Finnish brand specializing in sports watches, dive computers, and precision instruments. Founded in 1936 by Tuomas Vohlonen, an outdoor enthusiast and surveyor who invented a mass-production method for liquid-filled compasses, the company has built its reputation on durability and accuracy. Suunto remains headquartered in Vantaa, Finland, where a significant portion of its high-end products are still manufactured today.

Over the decades, Suunto has transitioned from a mechanical instrument maker to a leader in digital wearable technology. After being part of the Finnish conglomerate Amer Sports for many years, the brand entered a new chapter in 2022 when it was acquired by Liesheng, a Chinese technology company specializing in smart wearable electronics. Despite this change in ownership, Suunto maintains its Finnish design heritage and core manufacturing facilities in its home country.
