Früh Kölsch is a traditional top-fermented beer specialty from Cologne, Germany. Founded by Peter Josef Früh in 1904, the brand remains a deeply rooted symbol of Colognian brewing heritage. The product is brewed according to the German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot) and holds a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status, ensuring that authentic Kölsch can only be brewed in and around Cologne.

The brand is owned and operated by Cölner Hofbräu P. Josef Früh KG, a family-owned brewery that has maintained its independence for generations. While many German beer brands have been absorbed by international conglomerates, Früh remains under the ownership of the founding family, with its main production facility located in Cologne-Feldkassel.
