Etisalat, now rebranded as e&, is a leading global technology group based in the United Arab Emirates. Originally founded as the 'Emirates Telecommunications Corporation' in 1976, it was the first telecommunications provider in the UAE. Over the decades, it has expanded its footprint significantly through a series of international acquisitions and partnerships.

The brand underwent a major transformation in early 2022, changing its corporate identity to e& to reflect its evolution from a traditional telecom carrier into a global technology and investment conglomerate. Today, it provides services ranging from mobile and fixed-line connectivity to fintech, cloud computing, and digital entertainment across various markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

The group is primarily owned by the UAE federal government through the Emirates Investment Authority. Through its various subsidiaries and managed operators, e& operates in 16 countries, including major markets like Egypt, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia (via Mobily), and holds a significant stake in the Vodafone Group.
