Grundig Electronics and Appliances

Grundig, originally founded in Germany in 1945 by Max Grundig, became an icon of the European consumer electronics industry during the post-war economic miracle. Known for its high-quality radios and later televisions, the brand was a symbol of German engineering prowess for decades.

Following financial difficulties in the early 2000s, the brand was acquired by the Turkish industrial conglomerate Koç Holding. Today, Grundig operates as a premium brand under Arçelik, a subsidiary of Koç Holding. While its heritage and design philosophy remain rooted in Germany, the vast majority of its manufacturing now takes place in Turkey, particularly in Arçelik's advanced production facilities, as well as several global manufacturing hubs.
