The Logitech Harmony Ultimate is a high-end programmable universal remote control designed to consolidate multiple home entertainment devices into a single interface. Originally founded in Switzerland in 1981 by Daniel Borel, Pierluigi Zappacosta, and Giacomo Marini, Logitech has grown into a global leader in computer peripherals and control devices.

The Harmony brand itself was originally created by the Canadian company Intrigue Technologies, which Logitech acquired in 2004. This acquisition allowed Logitech to dominate the universal remote market for nearly two decades. While the company is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, and Newark, California, the manufacturing of their consumer electronics, including the Harmony line, is primary carried out in China.

In 2021, Logitech announced that it would stop manufacturing the Harmony line of remotes. However, the company continues to provide software support and service for existing users. The brand remains under the ultimate ownership of Logitech International S.A., a public company listed on both the SIX Swiss Exchange and Nasdaq.
