Wilfa is a prominent Norwegian brand that has become a household name across the Nordic region since its inception in 1948. Originally founded as a manufacturer of vacuum cleaners, the company has significantly expanded its portfolio to include a wide range of high-quality kitchen appliances, such as coffee grinders, blenders, and waffle irons, as well as climate control products and personal care items under its new 'EC by Wilfa' sub-brand.

While the brand maintains its headquarters and design operations in Oslo, Norway, its manufacturing is largely outsourced to specialized global partners. According to the company's transparency reports, the vast majority of its production (approximately 58 out of 59 primary suppliers) is based in China. This global supply chain allows Wilfa to combine Scandinavian design principles and innovation with efficient large-scale manufacturing.

Ownership of the brand remains firmly in Norwegian hands. Wilfa AS is a privately owned company, with CEO Morten Hoff and the Hoff family playing a central role in its management and ultimate ownership through the holding company Wilfa AS. The brand continues to focus on sustainability, holding certifications such as Eco-Lighthouse and silver accreditation from EcoVadis.
