Schweppes is one of the world's oldest soft drink brands, founded by Johann Jacob Schweppe in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1783. The brand gained prominence for its carbonated mineral water and eventually moved its headquarters to London in 1792.
Today, the manufacturing of Schweppes is highly decentralized and depends on the geographic region. In Europe, it is often produced by Suntory or Coca-Cola Hellenic, while in North America, it is manufactured by Keurig Dr Pepper. The ownership of the brand is uniquely divided: Keurig Dr Pepper owns the brand in the United States, Suntory Beverage & Food handles rights in many European countries, and The Coca-Cola Company owns the rights in numerous other international territories, including the UK and many parts of Asia.
