Clipper is a prominent British tea brand known for being the UK's first Fairtrade tea company. Founded in 1984 in Dorset by Mike and Lorraine Brehme with just two chests of finest-quality Assam tea, the brand has grown significantly by focusing on ethical sourcing and high-quality, natural ingredients.

The tea is primarily blended and packaged in the United Kingdom, specifically at their factory in Beaminster, Dorset. Over the years, the brand transitioned from a family-run business to being part of larger corporate structures. In 2012, it was acquired by Wessanen (now known as Ecotone), a company dedicated to organic and healthy food products.

Today, Clipper remains committed to organic farming and plastic-free tea bags, maintaining its heritage of being 'Natural, Fair & Delicious' while being part of a global movement towards sustainable food systems governed by its French-based parent company, Ecotone.
