Quorn is a world-leading brand of meat-free products that utilizes a unique source of protein called mycoprotein, derived from the fungus Fusarium venenatum. The brand originated in the 1960s when British industrialists sought a sustainable way to produce protein at scale to combat potential future food shortages. Commercial production began in the 1980s through a joint venture between RHM and ICI.

Today, the vast majority of Quorn's production remains centered in North Yorkshire, United Kingdom, where the fermentation process takes place in specialized tanks. While the brand has expanded its global footprint, its core manufacturing and R&D continue to be rooted in its British heritage. Ownership has transitioned several times, moving from private equity firms to its current position as a key international asset in the sustainable food sector.

In 2015, the brand was acquired by the Philippine multinational Monde Nissin. This partnership has allowed Quorn to leverage better distribution networks across Asia and North America while maintaining its headquarters and primary manufacturing site in the UK. The brand remains a cornerstone of the global shift toward plant-based and sustainable eating habits.
