Oral-B is a market leader in the dental health category, originally founded in the United States in 1950 by Dr. Robert W. Huston. The brand gained international fame for its innovative toothbrush designs and was eventually acquired by the Gillette Company in 1984. Since 2005, Oral-B has been a core brand under the Procter & Gamble (P&G) umbrella, following P&G's acquisition of Gillette.
The Oral-B iO Ultimate Clean brush heads shown in the image are a specialized product designed for high-end electric toothbrushes. Most of Oral-B's premium electric toothbrush components and brush heads are manufactured in Germany, particularly in the Marktheidenfeld and Kronberg facilities, which have a long history associated with the Braun brand, Oral-B's sibling brand in the P&G portfolio. Today, the brand continues to operate as a central part of Procter & Gamble’s global personal care division, headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.
